Glucosamine is an amino sugar found naturally in the human body. Glucosamine is the building block of the polysaccharide chains of glycosaminoglycans (such as chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid or dermatan sulfate) that build proteoglycans. Among other things, proteoglycans are involved in the structural development of connective tissues and the construction of the extracellular matrix.

Glucosamine is usually produced from shells of shellfish and crustaceans, in the case of our product it comes from the latter, in the form of glucosamine sulfate with potassium chloride.
