Cartilage is one of the supporting tissues, it is a moderately firm, elastic tissue. We distinguish three different types. These are hyaline or vitreous cartilage, collagenous cartilage or fibrocartilage and elastic cartilage or elastic cartilage.
At the ends of the bones, we find the so-called hyaline or glass cartilage. This type of cartilage is also found in the bronchi, trachea and nose.
These glass cartilages are highly wear-resistant yet flexible.
In terms of their structure, it can be divided into cells (chondrocytes) and the amorphous base material that surrounds them. The amorphous base material is woven through collagen and elastin fibers and contains proteoglycans, hyaluronic acid and glycoproteins.
Proteoglycans also include aggrecan, which is responsible for binding water in the amorphous material of the joints. The components of aggrecan are the so-called glucosamine glycans (GAG), chondroitin and keratan sulfate. Its central backbone is provided by hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid), to which these GAGs are attached with the help of a central protein. *

The nutrient circulation of the cartilage is limited due to the low vascularity, so their regeneration is also a slower process. *

The capsule form of Scitec Arthroxon Plus is now on store shelves with a renewed composition.
The formula contains chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine sulfate and ChondrActive ® hydrolyzed cartilage powder, which provides type 2 collagen. We already know many types of collagen, but the second type is specifically found in cartilage. In addition to ChondrActive ® , we also find UC-II ® cartilage powder, which also provides type 2 collagen, which contains a non-denatured form of type 2 collagen.

The daily dose also includes well-known ingredients such as MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), an organic form of sulfur, eggshell membrane powder and hyaluronic acid. The formula contains Boswellia serrata extract (Indian frankincense tree)
as a plant active ingredient , which contains 40 mg of Boswellin acid per day. Of course, vitamins cannot be missing either, such as vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin K2 in the special K2Vital ® form, which is an all-tras K2-MK7 form. 1

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones and the normal absorption/use of calcium and phosphorus.
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation and, through this, to the maintenance of the normal state and function of the cartilage.
Among the minerals, manganese was included in the capsules. Manganese contributes to normal connective tissue formation and the maintenance of normal bones.
